The Resurrection

Book: Isaiah

Scripture: Isaiah 53

Seven hundred years before Jesus’ death, Isaiah predicts the death of the suffering servant. Through this passage, we read that it was the Father’s will to crush his son to display the glory of his grace through the fruits of his resurrection. Behind the suffering servant’s death was the Father’s plan for redemption. It was Jesus’ sacrifice for our sins that made us righteous and made us God’s spiritual offspring.

How do we apply this to our lives? Remember that resurrection is the chapter upon which the whole story of salvation is built. We may look at what’s going on in the church and say the church is dwindling, but the will of God will prevail and all God’s enemies will be put under Jesus’ feet.
